Our Love Story

Anrich and Megan first met on OK Cupid. They both liked it more than Tinder because you could give more filters and information and had better matching opportunities. Megan messaged first because she loved that he put so many hobbies and felt like she could talk to him.
They first met in person at Timeless Boardgames (as suggested by Megan). As she saw him in the parking she thought that he looked cute. When they went inside they chose some new games. She knew she wanted to date him because he was so open that his hands were shaking from nerves. Forbidden Sky may have been a hard choice for a first date.
Sadly, they only had one date before COVID-19 brought lock down the next weekend. Luckily they both liked to play games online. They played all kinds of games. They continued to play games and they're favourites were It Takes Two, Unraveled, Tabletop Simulator and Diablo. They were not sure how the lockdown would affect their relationship.
There were some hard times because of the pandemic but they continued to lean on each other.
Their first date after lockdown lifted was at Neptune's Grotto. Anrich came through bravely at night and Megan knew he was dependable.
Their first kiss happened in Exclusive books. Masks were still mandatory but they snuck it in anyway. That's the day that they realized that they hadn't yet become official boyfriend and girlfriend. The 25th of September 2020.
Their first "I love you" was at Megan's parent's house. Megan didn't want him to go so she tried to keep the coversation going and couldn't help telling him her feelings.
Their first holiday was at the cradle of human kind and they managed to take a lovely hike, there plans to go spelunking was met with unfortunate flooding. They mostly wanted to spend time together.
Their favourite holiday was Cape Town 2024. They enjoyed being tourists for the first time as a couple. Megan got to tick off her transport bucket list of cable car and helicopter rides as well as the wine tram. Anrich love the drive around the mountain with the beautiful scenery. That's where they met the family fully for the first time.
Having met the family, they were now ready to get engaged. Anrich's mom found a bed and breakfast that also had an engagement package. When they first arrived they nearly went into the engagement area before they were ready. The staff asked Anrich to discuss the package at the restaurant as a clever ruse. Megan had a call from a friend so Anrich was stuck on one knee while she thought he was just talking. When Anrich asked in a trembling voice, Will you marry me? Megan said yes too quickly for the photographer and they had to pose again. The gazebo was gorgeous and even though it had a heater it was freezing. They had one of their first dances between courses. The accommodation was close by so we were stress free with not having to drive.
With both of them at a new job entering into marriage was a fitting beginning to their new lives as one.
